Bedlam Homesteading is now a tiny edible urban courtyard in Harrisburg, PA.
We grow mostly for our own delight, and to minimize our reliance on industrial agriculture. Plus, we really do enjoy the literal fruits of our labor!
We are biding our time in an adorable row house, with a 16×20′ outdoor growing space that’s nearly half concrete! It’s a big transition from growing beside a multi-acre Christmas tree farm with previously established infrastructure, but this is a step towards our own homesteading independence, and a training ground for new skills and increasing innovation.
We’re just a few blocks away from the Peffer Street Edible Forest Garden, the Capitol Greenbelt, and loads of incredible community garden spaces, farmer’s markets, and a great local food hub called Radish and Rye.
